READ THROUGH
As the whole cast gathered around the table, Wyatt Weed (Director) starts reading the script. He reads all of the descriptive notes and the cast reads their lines.
The great thing about this read through is it gave us a real sense of how the dialogue would play. The actors made notes and shared with us things that they felt were unnatural or difficult to say. This helped us to hone the script more, and allowed the actors to ‘own’ the characters a bit more.
When I look at photos like this, I am reminded at how big of a production Shadowland was… The people in this room were pretty much the actors who had dialogue. In addition to that, there were handfuls of extras who had no dialogue, and we also had 20-30 people on the crew on any given day.
Many of the people in this photo became “family” and we have worked with them (and will continue to work with them) again and again.
